Reviews
We went to Gabose BBQ restaurant on a Saturday at 7 PM, and they had a one hour wait time. They gave us the option of waiting at Gabose Pocha (bar) while we waited. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had three create your own cocktails ($13), Oksusu Fries ($9, corn with some spice), Goon Mandu ($10) and a Coke ($3.95). The place has a very Korean/Anime feel to it. The drinks were tasty. It is a clever idea to have people wait here.
Unassuming space, next to main restaurant. Avoided Korean food because I thought it was too spicy for me. But I enjoyed my meal which could be ordered medium spice. One server handled food and drinks orders and apparently one cook in the kitchen. Everything went smoothly, and I will return.
The food was great! We had the corn fries, which were absolutely delicious, a little on the pricier side for the amount, but overall really good. We also tried their bulgogi cheese rice and the karage chicken. The chicken was fantastic! It was a nice vibe overall! And the serves were very attentive. I would definitely come back and also recommend.
The ambiance made me feel like I was actually in South Korea from the music to the decor, I loved my experience here. My friends and I had a few apps and drinks while we waited for our table at their sister location next door. We tried some of their Soju 소주, Jumuk Bab 주먹밥, and Gamja 감자. My favorite was the Gamja Fries they were so おいしい tasty!
We only came here because the wait was too long at Gabose. They have a ton of funky street food inspired dishes. Some are better than others. We were also surprised that they considered our party it 5 a "large" party, which included an automatic 20% tip. My bad for not catching that. It was a bit loud for our taste, but folks seem to like it ok
